Jessica takes pleasure from trying new recipes & baking different types of cakes, this in turn makes me happy Its a win win situation. We don’t really get the chance to take time to cook something delicious during the week so Saturday’s we usually put the oven to work.

Today, Jess whipped up some Choux a la creme patissiere, that’s in French, translated = flippin delicious, Ok, it doesnt really mean that but those were my first words upon tasting them.

Here are some shots I took before I magically made all the Choux’s disappear.

I recently borrowed a Kenko Extension Tube from my in law, love it. It allows your current lens to work like a macro lens and focus closer than its normal set minimum focusing distance.

I took advantage of this mornings sunlight and shot a few random things.

The first set of images were taken of a shot glass with a mixture of different alcohols, the second, is of an ice cube & the last two are of some tiny drops which were on the living room window.

This weekend we visited Borough Market again, this is the way food should be presented, from the earth, into the kitchen, into your mouth, not from shrink wrapped packaging from Tescos.  In theory you could spend all day walking around and eating as much cheese, meats, bread, dried fruit, chilli dips & cakes, but in practice it wouldnt be possible as there is too much to chose from, there is quality in quantity, but best enjoyed in moderation, save what you haven’t tried for next time.

If you live in London and have never headed out there, you’re a nut case, get there asap. It’s a must. Get into it. Lf xx

Using multiple exposures on your camera can create some beautiful effects, sure, you can cheat and change the blending options/transparency on multiple images in photoshop, but where’s the fun in that?

The double exposure portrait here is of Jessica. In this image I merged a few worlds together, my love of portraiture, B&W and using different techniques, creating something interesting visually.
We had just moved into our flat in Belsize Park and were beginning to create a new life together, leaving an old one behind, similar to the leaves falling off the tree and of the crane in the image, both making way for something new.

Get your camera, rediscover the art of it. Get into it. Lf xx
